During a session you will have the unique opportunity to discuss necessary artistic career steps as well as refine your marketing portfolio, discuss photographs, CV’s, your role profile, agents and casting directors, writing cover letters and anything else connected with furthering your career in the european film-, television and theatre sector.
You can look forward to an artistic meeting focusing strongly on pitching, interview training, networking, self-management and image-development. In one-on-one interviews Greta Amend will pursue the issues of individual professional development, perspectives, goals, and motivation of the artist.
We will cover Questions like:
- How do I pitch myself authentically and free of clichés in personal exchanges with decision-makers?
- How do I approach brief exchanges and succeed in leaving an impression stimulating further curiosity about my person?
- How do I succeed in communicating with business partners like directors, casting directors, angencies, producers, filmmakers etc.at their level?
- How do demonstrate “attitude” during conversation, and communicate my skills and achievements convincingly?
Greta Amend: Graduated both from the Hannover College for Music and Theater and the Theatre of Dramatic Art in Moskow. After working as an actress for twenty years, she launched a second career as casting director in 2002 and deepened her broad understanding of the relationship between the performer and casting process. Next to an invaluable perspective on marketing and presentational aspects Greta offers a vast insight into the actors artistic issues, which makes her one of Europe´s most acclaimed acting teachers these days.
She has been teaching her own workshop “Energizing The Actor” since 2006 in Germany, Austria, Denmark, Norway and Switzerland, and has been a guest lecturer in her masterclasses for directors and actors at the post-graduate department of the National Danish Film School (Filmskolens Efteruddannelse), the Danish National School of Performing Arts (Den Danske Scenekunstskole), the Norwegian Actors´Center (in cooperation with the Norwegian Film Institute), the German Film- and Television Academy, Berlin, the XXL EU Experts Workshop, Vienna, at the Actors Space, Berlin and at the Medienakademie Hamburg. Her workshop concepts, like "Respect for Actors- Respect for Directors " cover the fields of directing, casting, and acting.Additionally Greta is coaching many european actors in 1to1 sessions for TV, theatre and film, and works as artistic advisor for actors, directors, performing,- and visual artists.
