About this Masterclass
No great work of art history was created without the corresponding craft or skill, and this also applies to acting. In order to entice people to watch and listen it is important to know your tools of the trade. Greta will research a kaleidoscope of different approaches with the participants and create an overall picture of the opportunities on the european market.With Greta’s well-known knowledge and interest in the well-being of actors and their artistic progress, you are sure to be supported, inspired and energized to propel your career forward!
All 6 sessions include Q&As, talks, interactive exercises, networking and marketing strategies, professional insider advice and tips, business knowledge, and do’s and dont´s. Mandatory homework will be given in and after each unit, which is intended as a basis for playful artistic consultation and individual guidance by Greta for the duration of the masterclass.

“Acting as a Craft”: We will focus on fine-tuning our craft so that we are ready to take on complex roles. Researching appropriate material to deepen our skills is one component of this area. An instrument check is also aimed at to find out what and how I can work on to improve.
When we watch great actors play their games and how they pull aces from their sleeves, we ask ourselves: How do they do that? What’s their game? Great storytellers all know how to inspire and delight the audience! This part is a hands-on exploration of pitching techniques and playful storytelling in the realm of the arts.
About your Teacher:
Greta is an experienced and highly acclaimed teacher, actress, director, former casting director and artistic producer. She is familiar with both stage and film, Western and Eastern acting and directing techniques and history. She offers her phenomenal expertise and is happy to answer your questions about the complex and competitive European film industry. In this masterclass she will guide the participants on their way to becoming European working artists.
After studying acting and directing for 8 semesters at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media followed by the GITIS Academy in Moscow, Greta embarked on a career that encompasses more than 30 years of professional experience in front of and behind the camera, on stage, and as an outstanding teacher at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb), the National Danish Film School, the National Danish Theatre School, and the Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts and Technology in Berlin. Greta has worked internationally as a director, actress, and with her artist collective "Superbohemians", particularly in central European and Scandinavian countries. As a casting director, she has overseen over 50 productions, including the largest Russian-European co-production "Dau" by Ilya Khrzhanovsky and numerous dffb films.
Greta will be accompanied by actor, photographer and producer Christian Alexander Rogler, her artistic sparring partner with the "Superbohemians" artists community. There will be no recording of the Zoom sessions to ensure a protected and relaxed space for everyone.
